Gingersnaps

One of the earliest phenomena I noticed when making soap was "gourmand" fragrances. People like soap that smells like food--particularly desserts. I decided to blend traditional spices with molasses for this soap, which requires some ground cinnamon to keep the molasses and essential oils from separating. Due to the molasses, this is a very dark colored soap. Overall fragrance cost is $0.72 per gram. For a batch of soap, I've used 40 grams of blackstrap molasses, 20 grams fragrance (~$15), and 10 grams ground cinnamon.
